Driver killed as truck crashes into trailer carrying iron rods on EPE

GREATER NOIDA: A 35-year-old truck driving force was once killed and his father sitting subsequent to him was once injured when the lorry crashed right into a desk bound trailer laden with iron rods at the Eastern Peripheral Expressway.
The early morning twist of fate raised questions on why long automobiles with iron rods protruding from them are allowed to be parked alongside the limited-access highway. These desk bound vehicles pose risks to rushing automobiles, specifically near the bends.

Around 5am on Tuesday, Mohammed Rafique (35) was once riding the truck (NL01Q1321) — owned by means of Varuna Integrated Logistics — towards Dadri when he crashed into the trailer parked near Bambawad village. Iron rods jutting out of the trailer smashed the glass of the truck and Rafique was once squeezed between the guidance and his seat. His father Chaman Khan, who was once seated subsequent to him, suffered accidents to the ankle and nostril.

Residents of close by villages informed police and a staff from the nearest police station rushed to the spot. The truck and the trailer were tied to separate automobiles and pulled apart. Rafique’s body, which was once caught between the guidance and seat, was once then introduced out of the truck. “It took nearly an hour to carry out the body as villagers and the police struggled to tug the automobiles apart. Rafique’s chest and legs were caught between guidance and the seat as the front portion of the truck was once mangled,” said a police officer inspecting the spot. An NHAI ambulance rushed Rafique’s father Chaman to the Dadri group health centre round eight.45am. A doctor there said Chaman had suffered accidents to his ankle and nostril, however was once out of threat. Vinay Kumar, the SHO of Badalpur police station, said Rafique’s family were informed concerning the twist of fate and they had arrived on the health center to take the body.

Mohammed Naeem, Chaman’s nephew, said Rafique’s employer had lodged a grievance at Badalpur police station in opposition to the motive force of the trailer who had parked the vehicle loaded with iron rods on one side of the limited-access highway. He puzzled why no action was once taken by means of the NHAI on such desk bound vehicles parked alongside the EPE, which regularly pose risks to rushing automobiles.

“My cousin met a sad death. But it would had been avoided had the government taken action in opposition to such desk bound automobiles,” he said.

Kumar informed IdealNews that an FIR were registered below sections 338 (causing grievous hurt by means of act endangering life or non-public protection of others), 427 (mischief causing damage), 304 A (causing death by means of negligence) of the IPC in opposition to the motive force of the products carrier trailer.
