PATIALA: A middle elderly guy in Anandpur Sahib of Punjab's Ropar district tried suicide after killing his spouse for giving beginning to a 5th girl child. The accused, recognized as Rakesh Kumar, 40, of Jhinjra village is now in government clinic in Anandpur Sahib and is undeserving to present any observation to the police as he had attempted to silt his throat with a sharp-edged weapon.

Rakesh, within no time, in all guilt, slit his throat with a sharp-edged weapon. He used to be immediately rushed to the medical doctors on the clinic and used to be saved however he faced critical accidents. However, a case used to be registered underneath sections 302 (murder) and 309 (punishment for tried suicide).”
The police added that the autopsy of the deceased woman has been carried out and the frame used to be handed over to the family members for cremation to take place.
