ERODE : In a gruesome incident, a man chopped off the top of his wife after killing her, stuffed it into a bag and tried to dump it in a canal, however was once nabbed by the public, police stated.
They stated that Muniappan (28) and Nivetha (19) a local of Shimoga in Karnataka had been staying in Mettukaddai, 10km from here after their marriage eight months again.
The couple ceaselessly used to quarrel as Muniappan suspected her constancy, they stated.
On Monday night time after one such argument, the man stabbed her at the neck and later severed the top from the body.
He stuffed the top in a bag and the body into a gunny sack, tied it to his motorcycle and proceeded to within sight Perundurai to fling the portions into a canal.
However some other people noticed the lady's legs sticking out of the bag, raised an alarm and gave chase. Muniappan then deserted the bike and jumped into the canal.
However he was once nabbed and police had been knowledgeable.
A case of homicide was once registered towards him and he was once being puzzled, police stated.
