CAIRO: Egyptian security officials say no less than 55 policemen, including 20 officers and 34 conscripts, were killed in a shootout throughout a raid on a militant hideout near Cairo.
The officials on Saturday mentioned that the change of fireplace happened past due the previous day in the al-Wahat al-Bahriya house in Giza governorate, about 135 kilometers from the capital after security services and products moved in.
The officials say the demise toll may building up.
They spoke on situation of anonymity as a result of they were not authorized to speak to the media.
Egypt's interior ministry issued a commentary on the raid past due the previous day but did not provide a demise toll.
