ISLAMABAD: Pakistan's election fee on Thursday warned Opposition chief Imran Khan to be careful in his selection of phrases in long run after accepting an apology from him for his scandalous remarks in opposition to the highest ballot frame.
Cricketer-turned-politician Khan seemed prior to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) as of late in two contempt cases, about two weeks after non-bailable arrest warrant issue in opposition to him with direction to look prior to it on October 26.
Though, the Islamabad High Court remaining week suspended the non-bailable arrest warrant nonetheless Khan seemed prior to the five-member ECP bench led by means of Chief Election Commissioner retired Justice Sardar Muhammad Raza.
The ECP had issued the contempt notice to 64-year-old Khan on January 24 over his scandalous remarks in regards to the fee.
Akbar Babar, the petitioner who had filed the overseas investment case in opposition to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) management, had informed the ECP that Khan had accused it of being biased within the overseas investment case following which his suggest tendered an apology with the fee.
PTI chairman Khan's attorney Babar Awan stated that he had already submitted an apology by means of Khan but the bench ordered the accused to furnish fresh written apologies in opposition to his criticism of the ECP on September 20 in Karachi and his some other observation months earlier when he termed the ECP as "biased".
Khan submitted apologies in each cases that have been signed by means of him and the ECP authorized whilst the bench's head Sardar Raza stated that he must be careful in his phrases in long run or he must face consequences.
Later, Khan advised media that he was satisfied as the ECP authorized his apology and quashed the cases in opposition to him.
"I respect the national institutions but I want to make them credible. I want ECP to be as credible as in India so that elections are accepted by the parties," he stated.
