At panchayat, kin of Pinky say cops shielding teachers

GURUGRAM: More than 3 years after her suicide in protest towards the issuance of inaccurate marksheet, Gurgaon school lady Pinky Chauhan's circle of relatives sees a ray of hope with the Punjab and Haryana high court not too long ago turning in the case to senior IPS officer Amitabh Dhillon.

At a panchayat held in Kaasan village on Saturday, Pinki's father Beerpal Chauhan came down closely on the Gurgaon police for their three-year-long, non-conclusive investigation into the case.

He alleged the police officers were looking to save 3 ladies teachers of Government Girls College in Sector 14, two of whom are better halves of IAS officers.

"Gurgaon police are already under the scanner for the alleged botched up investigation into the Ryan school murder case. In my daughter's case, they did the same," Beerpal stated on the panchayat attended through over 350 other folks from Bhora Kalan, Bas Kushla, Hayatpur, Naharpur, Kherki Daula, Bhangrola and Khandsa villages.

"Pinki gave her dying statement, but crucial facts were omitted from the FIR by the Gurgaon police just to save the wives of the IAS officers. Now after three years, I hope to get justice for my daughter," he added.

Pinki's brother Arun, in the meantime, has created a WhatsApp group, in search of justice for her sister. "Our fight for justice for Pinki will continue till the end."

The 19-year-old BSc pupil of Government Girls' College set hearth to herself all the way through a protest towards the "bizarre" analysis of examination papers through Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak, to which the school is affiliated, on September 29, 2014. She suffered 70% burns and died in Delhi's Safdarjung Hospital on October 12.

Gurgaon police had closing year filed untraced record in this case sooner than the trial court. But the topic reached the high court after Beerpal had filed a petition, in search of a CBI probe into the case.

However, the high court on November 13 handed over the probe to Dhillon, who is at present posted as IG Hisar vary, after the CBI expressed its incapability to research the case for being overburdened and urged some upright officer of the state police to take it over.
