NEW DELHI: A significant fireplace broke out on Saturday at a clinic in east Delhi's Preet Vihar and 84 patients have been evacuated from the development, officials mentioned.
Some patients suffered minor accidents within the rescue operation within the fireplace that broke out on the second floor of the Metro Hospital and Cancer Institute, they mentioned.
The fireplace began in an air con vent and then spread to different floors, a senior police officer mentioned.
A senior officer from the Delhi Fire Services mentioned a choice was once received at three.20 PM alerting them in regards to the blaze, which intensified within the next 20 mins. Twelve fireplace tenders have been rushed to the spot, he mentioned.
"But it was controlled by 4.15 PM and completely doused by 4.50 PM," the official added.
Police mentioned that the 84 patients have been safely evacuated from the clinic and shifted to its Noida branch.
The cooling operation was once underway, the police mentioned, including that some patients suffered minor accidents within the episode.
