GURUGRAM: Unhappy with lengthen in possession, a group of house consumers who have invested within the Indi Homes housing challenge in Bhiwadi, 50 km from Gurgaon, have approached National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC) in quest of reimbursement for the lengthen.

Around 380 consumers have invested within the challenge, which was introduced by way of MVL in 2009 with a promise of possession by way of 2014, later revised to 2015. But till now, investors stated, construction has now not been finished. "We are trying to convince the builder to compete the construction through emails and personal visits. But it has yielded no result so far," stated Rajesh Popli, some of the consumers.


Countering their allegations, the developer stated the challenge has 5 towers of which 3 are able for possession. "Buyers have to pay their balance dues in an escrow account, which they are not doing despite our numerous reminders," stated a spokesperson for the developer.

There are some speculators who are trying to arm-twist the company for vested interests, and are spreading false information about the project," he stated, including that even though the challenge was introduced in 2009, most bookings were made in 2013.


Sudhanshu Shekhar, a house purchaser, stated they came to understand of the residential challenge through ads. "We were assured timely possession, along withe the reassurance that in case of delay, buyers would get interest till possession," stated Sudhanshu. "Having failed to get any relief from local authorities, we are left with no option but to approach the consumer forum," stated Ashok Verma, some other purchaser.
