NEW DELHI: A significant fireplace broke out on Saturday at a health facility in east Delhi's Preet Vihar and 84 sufferers have been evacuated from the building, officers said.
Some sufferers suffered minor injuries in the rescue operation in the fireplace that broke out on the second one flooring of the Metro Hospital and Cancer Institute, they said.
The fireplace began in an air-con vent and then unfold to other flooring, a senior police officer said.
A senior officer from the Delhi Fire Services said a call was gained at 3.20 PM alerting them concerning the blaze, which intensified in the subsequent 20 minutes. Twelve fireplace tenders have been rushed to the spot, he said.
"But it was controlled by 4.15 PM and completely doused by 4.50 PM," the legit added.
Police said that the 84 sufferers have been safely evacuated from the health facility and shifted to its Noida branch.
