Navi Mumbai boy smashes 1,045 not out in local cricket match

MUMBAI: A 14-year-old scholar smashed an unbeaten 1,045 now not out in a neighborhood cricket tournament in neighbouring Navi Mumbai, his trainer claimed on Tuesday.

Tanishq Gavate performed this knock over two days - on Monday and Tuesday - on the semi-final of the tournament on the Yashwantrao Chavan English Medium School flooring in Koparkhairne, his trainer Manish stated.

Gavate performed on a flooring which has a leg side boundary of 60-65 yards, whilst the off side boundary was 50 yards, the trainer claimed.

His mammoth innings was laced with 149 obstacles and 67 sixes, stated Manish, who most effective uses his first name.


Manish claimed Gavate performed the knock for the Yashwantrao Chavan workforce, which has been shaped through the organisers, towards the Yashwantrao Chavan English Medium School.


The organisers are Manish himself and the Yashwantrao Chavan English Medium School, he claimed.


However, a senior Mumbai Cricket Association legit stated that the tournament, titled Navi Mumbai Shield U-14, has now not been recognised through the MCA.


The trainer, on the other hand, claimed leather-based ball was used in the tournament and bowlers bowled overarm.
