Tirupur: Two youths, who robbed a bakery store employee at knifepoint close to Old bus stand right here on Saturday evening, had been stuck red-handed by way of some commuters in the vicinity. The duo was once later passed over to the police.
The arrested had been known as G Janagaraj, 19, of Pandian Nagar and M Karthikeyan, 22, of Palladam. The duo robbed A Manikandan, 35, of Jammanai Street, of cash and a smartphone.
According to the police, the incident came about when Manikandan, who was once hired with a personal bakery store, was once on his long ago house after paintings on Saturday evening.
The duo got here on a motorcycle, threatened him at knifepoint and snatched his smartphone and cash. But commuters in the space stuck them red-handed and passed them over to the police.
The South police have registered a case and further investigations are on.
