Anganwadi staff seek pay hike, on strike till February 26

GURUGRAM: Nearly 5 hundred Anganwadi staff from all blocks of Gurgaon protested against low wages and paintings conditions out of doors public paintings division minister Rao Narbir Singh’s residence and burnt an effigy of Kavita Jain, minister, urban local bodies, Haryana, on Tuesday.

The staff are hard that their salaries be higher to Rs 18,000 monthly and for advantages corresponding to medical health insurance and pension. “We paintings across the 12 months every day with none leaves and we don’t have get right of entry to to fundamental advantages given to other executive staff corresponding to pension and health advantages. And the government has no longer acted on our repeated calls for,” stated Babita, an anganwadi worker who came from Begumpur Khatola.


Anganwadi staff have been on strike since February 19 and stated the protests would proceed till February 26.
