DHARWAD: A corporator created panic by means of opening fireplace during Shivaji Jayanti celebrations here on Monday.
Manjunath Kadam, who represents Congress, arrived at Shivali Circle on Saundatti Road at the side of his supporters and garlanded an idol of Shivaji. He then fired two rounds in the air together with his revolver. Amid chants of ‘Jai Bhavani’ and ‘Jai Shivaji’, any other chief, Basavaraj Jadhav, flashed a sword at the same time as policemen were deployed on the site for safety.
