Riders wearing helmets get chocolate, rule violators receive piece of advice

Dharwad: Some organizations have joined arms with police to inspire two-wheeler riders to put on helmets. On Sunday, Dharwad Bonds, a Facebook page which is desirous about more than a few social works and actions to improve fundamental facilities in twin cities, create awareness on the factor. The two-wheeler riders wearing helmets were given goodies and received appreciation for following traffic rules. For those violating the legislation, were given stickers, educating them on the importance of helmets.

Speaking to TOI, Kiran Hiremath, discovered of Dharwad Bonds, said that more than 30 individuals of the group and a few traffic policemen were concerned within the endeavour to convince riders to put on helmets. “With banners and posters, we waited at Jubilee Circle, which is one of major traffic junctions within the town, and in my opinion met each and every motorist. The stickers distributed to helmetless riders read: “My Helmet, My Safety, My Life” and “I Am a Proud Indian and I Follow Traffic Rules”.
