MANGALURU: Minister for meals, civil provides and client affairs UT Khader said right here on Saturday that he has sought a report on allegations of Anna Bhagya rice exploitation taken position at a fair price shop (FPS) run by way of the federal government at Thilaknagar the town of Jayanagar in Bengaluru.
On Friday, political activist Ravi Krishna Reddy, who's campaigning to contest as an independent candidate from Jayanagar Constituency, had posted a video on facebook alleging that a FPS run by way of the Karnataka State Food and Civil Supplies Corporation in Thilaknagar has been cheating deficient families. In the video, which has gone viral with more than 2.84 lakh views and over 6,800 shares, Reddy has proven that the FPS is giving less amount of rice to deficient families beneath Anna Bhagya scheme.
“This is a government run fair price shop and the group of workers is getting more than Rs 25,000 per month. However, he has been cheating every beneficiary. A beneficiary has been given 30 kg of rice instead of his quota of 49kg,” Reddy posted on facebook blaming the minister.
Minister Khader said he has already sought a report from the officers of meals and civil provides in Jayanagar soon after he got here to learn about Reddy’s publish on facebook. “I gained a message yesterday concerning the incident on Friday. Immediately, I asked officers to put up an in depth report of the incident. I thank Ravi Krishna Reddy for bringing the issue to my realize. I will be able to take essential motion to droop the group of workers if the allegations are found true,” Khader said.
The minister said the federal government has gained over 300 such circumstances and motion including cancellation of FPS dealership and suspension of group of workers has been taken in nearly 150 circumstances. “I respect the activist for bringing the issue to the awareness of the federal government. The participation of public in the public distribution device is very important to streamline more than a few tasks the dept has followed,” he added.
