KOLKATA: Owners of the 5 Mahisbathan structures, recognized for demolition, at the New Garia-Airport Metro mission path are ready to fulfill the Bidhannagar municipal commissioner within the subsequent two or three days to grasp when they will have to move out in order that the state can handover the land to Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL).
TOI reported on October 22, 2016 structures at Mahishbathan in the best way of the Metro path can be demolished. On Friday,the land acquisition division below district magistrate of North 24 Parganas pasted notices on three of the structures — naming 5 structures. It requested the development owners to fulfill the commissioner with their paperwork.
“It is hereby communicated to rightful claimants to way the municipal commissioner, inside March 28 along side proof in their claim to hunt reimbursement for the mentioned structures,” read the notice. Thus, the land, on which the structures exist belongs to the state govt, which plans to hand it over to RVNL.
Sukumar Mondal, a shop owner in probably the most structures, told TOI: “I tried to fulfill the commissioner, however used to be told to put up ownership proof within the Trinamool party place of job.”
Local councilor Prasenjit Sardar mentioned, “The understand doesn’t speak about eviction. Let the owners put up their paperwork to the commissioner. Only then we’ll know in regards to the date of demolition and land handover.”
Asked when the demolition will take place, Bidhannagar mayor Sabyasachi Dutta mentioned, “I don’t know. It’s up to the DM.” A spokesperson from the DM’s place of job, then again, mentioned, “Please ask the mayor, who's dealing with the eviction and demolition. Our task ends at issuing the notification.”
But Dutta insisted, “The understand is from the land acquisition division of the district collector. If requested to execute the demolition, we’ll do it.” He added, “The occupants can’t cross on purchasing time. They constructed the structures illegally with panchayat’s clearance.” The area used to be below the Mahisgote panchayat when the structures came up and later upgraded and incorporated in Bidhannagar.
