BHUBANESWAR: Eligible authorities faculties and universities of the state can post an application prior to the Union ministry of human resource development to get budget underneath Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA), a centrally backed scheme.
The budget will help the establishments expand their infrastructure and research high quality.
There are 52 authorities level faculties and more than 500 non-government faculties underneath the jurisdiction of the higher training department. According to the information of the RUSA scheme, handiest those authorities and government-aided instructional institutes which have been accepted by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) can participate within the procedure to get RUSA budget.
The state recently has 164 NAAC-accredited authorities and government-aided faculties and universities. As some of them have already received budget underneath the scheme, round 100 establishments will apply online between May 3 and 5, stated a senior officer of the higher training department.
The upper training department on Monday carried out a gathering with senior officers to talk about the topic intimately.
The state has set up 8 type faculties in Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Boudh, Nayagarh, Nuapada, Deogarh and Sonepur to provide high quality training to scholars of educationally backward districts. These faculties may even get budget underneath the RUSA scheme, stated a senior officer of the higher training department.
The intention of the scheme is to beef up the full high quality of state establishments and create an enabling setting so that they may be able to commit themselves to analyze and innovation. The budget will be used to improve the prevailing autonomous faculties to universities, convert faculties to cluster universities, create new type faculties or improve current level faculties to type faculties.
Under this scheme, the Centre supplies infrastructure grants to universities for research, innovation and high quality development. It also supports the recruitment of faculty and capacity-building of workforce.
