Hanuman vector artist’s phone has not stopped ringing after Modi’s praise for him, art

MANGALURU: Karan Acharya, 27, hailing from Kasaragod and working for a Bengaluru-based corporate in Hyderabad, has still not recovered from the pleasant shock that he won on Saturday.
At a rally in Mangaluru, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had complimented Karan Acharya for the Hanuman portrait that captured creativeness of other people across India. ``This is a laudable fulfillment and is the ability of his fulfillment, talent and creativeness,’’ Modi had mentioned.

His phone has not stopped ringing since then and his social media accounts have been flooded with plaudits. ``I started receiving loads of calls from my friends and family at 7.40pm on Saturday. I started getting jittery imagining that one thing untoward can have took place at home. When I got here to learn about PM having mentioned my identify and art, I used to be stunned and surprised that PM had mentioned me and my art. I straight away hooked up reside over YouTube but that moment had handed, but my friends saw to it that I could relive it through sending the recorded model,’’ mentioned Karan from Hyderabad to TOI.

The vector image got here via when a gaggle of adlescent in Kumble, close to Kasaragod, had asked him to design a saffron-tinged Hanuman for his or her Ganesh pageant in September 2015. They had used `Om’ flag for his or her fest every year and so they wanted a metamorphosis. They wanted Hanuman’s image and for his or her pride and his; it happened as they wanted. Thereafter the vector art received fairly recognition in Kumble and changed into a common phenomenon.


Working for Arambha Design and Art, he is these days ideating for the ``Aarogya Today - Cancer Prevention Conference’’ being held at Hyderabad from May 13.


Is he working on similar lines of vector art? ``No. but I do sketches to not lose contact,’’ mentioned Karan who did the Hanuman vector image just under an hour.


Karan, whose grandfather Ramachandra Acharya was once a wood carving artist, gives credit score to his mom Manjula for uplifting him to be an artist. His vector image has not been copyrighted, but Karan says it wouldn't have received the recognition it did and also the recognition if it have been copyrighted.
