Gurgaon: Several key decisions to ease the float of site visitors at and close to Kherki Daula toll plaza and Hero Honda Chowk flyover had been taken in a meeting between representatives of the Manesar Industries Welfare Association (MIWA), NHAI, MCEPL, Skylark and site visitors police on Thursday.
The decisions integrated deploying site visitors marshals 50-100 metres forward of the FASTag lanes to steer travellers, development of a cloverleaf close to the Kherki Daula toll in 12 months and a U-turn at the Hero Honda Chowk flyover for vans. TOI takes a take a look at how these will assist travellers.
U-turn at HH Chowk flyover
Trucks that find it difficult to take a U-turn at Hero Honda Chowk tend to move towards Sector 10 and choke the entire stretch. “Within 10 days, the NHAI will open a lower forward of Hero Honda Chowk flyover for vans to take a U-turn both from the Jaipur-Delhi and Delhi-Jaipur side. A highway will probably be constructed so that vans with a considerable peak can pass ,” stated Manmohan Gaind, vice-president, MIWA.
Traffic marshals sooner than toll
At the Kherki Daula toll plaza, there are three dedicated lanes for fast-tag users. Chaos, alternatively, prevails at the toll plaza when travellers who wouldn't have immediate tags enter the dedicated lanes. “To be certain commuters know where the FASTag lane begins, marshals will probably be deployed 50-100m forward. The same lanes can be used via emergency automobiles,” Gaind stated.
S Raghuraman, CEO of parkway concessionaire MCEPL stated the fast-tag lanes would also be marked correctly.
Cloverleaf at Kherki Daula
The NHAI has planned a cloverleaf at the Gurgaon-Jaipur freeway to ease site visitors snarls close to the toll plaza. The cloverleaf, which is anticipated to return up in a yr, will connect to the Southern Peripheral Road (SPR), Central Peripheral Road (CPR) and the parkway.
