CHANDIGARH: As suspended police inspector Saroj Bala persisted to elude Haryana vigilance bureau, a Hisar courtroom on Thursday disregarded an anticipatory bail plea moved by her suggest. The courtroom refused to grant Bala reduction because the vigilance bureau stated she was the brains in the back of the alleged honey-trap racket it busted in April.
The courtroom dismiss her bail a day after a team of the bureau, headed by deputy superintendent of police (DSP) Shareef Singh, arrested Vinita, a resident of Hisar who had allegedly moved a grievance in opposition to Rajesh Kumar, a victim of the honey-trap gang.
Vinita was remanded to judicial custody on Thursday. Two other members of the gang, Anita of Housing Board Colony in Hisar and Mahinder Singh of Uklana, are also at the run. Vigilance groups are conducting raids to arrest them. “In the bail plea, Bala’s defence suggest stated his shopper has been wrongly indicted within the case and he or she has no role to play in it. We informed the courtroom concerning the evidence we have now in opposition to her and why she’s the principle accused,” stated DSP Shareef, who is heading the investigating team.
He stated Anita was the brain in the back of the honey-trap racket. “She would ship women to susceptible males and then blackmail them. Vinita had lodged a large number of complaints in opposition to males below other identities. She would first hotel a grievance and then her gang would reach a compromise in lieu of cash,” stated the DSP.
Referring to Bala, Shareef stated after taking the grievance from Vinita, the woman inspector didn't make an entry in any check in of the police station, which confirmed her involvement within the racket.
Last month, vigilance bureau had arrested Surender Singh, driving force of Bala, and Yogesh Kumar, supervisor of a hotel, while accepting an amount of Rs 70,000 from one Rajesh Kumar for settling a grievance allegedly moved by Vinita. Bala has gone into hiding since then. On Wednesday, Hisar superintendent of police (SP) had positioned her below suspension.
