MANGALURU: A 24-year-old Kerala woman allegedly locked up in a area through her mother for a 12 months was once rescued through police remaining week. The mother allegedly confined her to a room after she learnt of her friendship with a person from any other group.
The victim from Thrissur had launched a video from an undisclosed location in Mangaluru two months ago, explaining how she was once subjected to torture through right-wing men. In the video, widely circulated on social media and aired through a Malayalam channel on Saturday, the girl alleged RSS and BJP staff had been harassing her and she or he was once illegally detained in a BJP leader’s area.
Uma Prashant, DCP (crime and traffic), stated: “The woman was once rescued from a rented area in Barke five days ago and has been shifted to a rehabilitation centre now. Her mother has been booked for forceful detention.”
In the video, the girl stated she was once taken to Kochi’s Amrita Hospital for psychiatric overview and lodged in an RSS orphanage for two months. “My kinfolk are spreading lies about me. I was beaten up. Some BJP staff brought me here towards my want. I want lend a hand. They received’t let me live if they get to grasp I’ve used a mobile phone,” she stated within the video.
The woman’s boyfriend admitted they had been in a dating for two years, and knew every other for 8 years. “Her father died a couple of years ago. When her mother learnt about our dating, she thrashed her and shifted her to a hospital in Kochi. There was once no verbal exchange till two months ago when she contacted me on a mobile phone. She despatched me a video that I passed directly to the media. I despatched a duplicate of the video to police and the Kerala CM’s private secretary,” he stated.
