KSRTC mops up Rs 2.3 crore fine from smokers

BENGALURU: Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has accrued Rs 2.30 crore as wonderful from 1.14 lakh passengers who have been caught smoking at KSRTC bus stations across the state since 2013.
KSRTC statistics shows collection of passengers caught smoking in bus terminuses has larger from 16,438 in 2013-14 to 23,003 in 2017-18. In April this yr, as many as 1,390 passengers have been booked for smoking.
