MC asked to submit details of dog bite cases to Punjab chief secretary

LUDHIANA: Keeping in view the rising cases of dog bites within the state, a meeting has been known as up in Chandigarh through Punjab leader secretary Karan Avtar Singh on Tuesday. The MC officers were asked to submit details of general dog bites cases within the city and the full choice of stray canine that have been sterilized through the civic frame.

Recently two kids had been mauled to demise through stray canine within the state and then meeting has been mounted up and officers had been instructed to ship details to the Chandigarh headquarters. Around 300 dog chunk cases are being reported within the district nearly day-to-day.


The MC had started stray canine sterilization challenge in 2015 and within the first section around 26,000 canine had been sterilized. Now, 2d section has been started this year and a target to sterilize 25,000 more stray canine has been mounted. The senior veterinary officer Dr Y P Singh mentioned they're making ready the document and it'll be sent to Chandigarh for the meeting quickly.
