Mumbai: Uber driver sacked for 'masturbating'

MUMBAI: In a odd case of sexual harassment, an Uber cab driving force used to be found masturbating ahead of a lady passenger here on Friday, in keeping with a grievance filed by means of the lady. The cab aggregator later introduced it had sacked him.
The incident happened within the crowded Andheri East space here on Friday morning.

According to the lady, as she sat within the cab, the driver suddenly uncovered himself and started masturbating in full public view while the car had halted at a traffic sign.

"I immediately got out of the car and asked him to stop the fare meter immediately. He also came out of the car abusing, and asking me what happened... To which I said: 'don't you know what happened' or 'do you want me to scream and let everyone know what you did'," she said in a social media publish which went viral.

She added that she paid the driver greater than the true fare and did not wait for the exchange - as she felt the accused might be bad.

The girl then went to the MIDC Police Station at Andheri and lodged her grievance.

The driving force in query used to be sacked with fast effect by means of Uber following the incident.

"What's been described has no place on our App. Our community guidelines clearly reject such inappropriate behaviour. Upon learning about the incident, we immediately removed the driver partner's access to the app," an Uber spokesperson said on Friday night time.

The spokesperson said that the driver's previous file used to be blank, with no previous lawsuits of any kind in opposition to him.
