GURUGRAM: Haryana leader minister Manohar Lal Khattar stated on Sunday that namaz must be learn in mosques or idgahs reasonably than in public spaces.

Responding to journalists' queries, Khattar stated that "incidents of namaz being offered in the open have increased". "There's no problem if there is no objection from the public, but if a group or a person objects, one has to take note. We'll keep an eye on the issue," he stated. Asked about emerging pressure due to vigilantism, the CM stated keeping up legislation and order is the government's duty, and it's going to do this.

Last Friday, a number of teams went around the town, shouting slogans like 'Jai Shri Ram' and 'Bangladeshi wapas jao', and chased away prayer congregations in some puts. They also labelled the observe of providing namaz in public spaces 'land jihad'.

Right-wing outfits in Gurugram welcomed the CM's comments. Rajiv Mittal, who claimed to be the national convener of Akhil Bhartiya Hindu Kranti Dal, stated this was a subject that didn't simply fear Gurugram but all the nation.
