NOIDA: A 42-year-old labourer was killed after he fell from a crane while putting in a generator on the third ground of an under-construction construction in Sector 18.
Mohammed Shah, a resident of Delhi’s Mayapuri, was standing on a crane to reinforce the generator when it was being positioned on the third ground of the construction around 6.30 am on Monday. Police said he were working as a labourer at the retailer which is above an outlet of international meals chain Burger King.
Balram Singh, supervisor of the Burger King outlet on the floor and the primary ground, advised TOI that the person fell down around 6.50 am.
“He was in a very bad condition and had suffered severe accidents. Onlookers took him to a private sanatorium in Sector 27 where he succumbed to his accidents,” a police officer said.
SHO, Sector 20, Manish Saxena advised TOI that no grievance has been received thus far.
The construction in C block of Sector 18 belongs to an area Samajwadi functionary.
