ALLAHABAD: Soon, Allahabad citizens can be in a position achieve Lucknow inside of 45 mins. Come June 14 and locals would be capable of board direct flights to Lucknow and Patna from the Bamrauli airport.
Apart from a 72-seater airplane to ferry passengers from Allahabad to the state capital and Patna, some other flight between Allahabad and Nagpur and Indore would start working June 16 onwards.
UP civil aviation minister Nand Gopal Nandi mentioned, “Allahabad is all set to get direct flights to Lucknow, Patna, Indore and Nagpur from next month. Allahabad can be connected to different primary cities prior to Kumbh-2019.”
“The flights would boost regional connectivity and the the trip time between Lucknow and Allahbad would take lower than 45 mins.”
With flights between Allahabad and cities like Nagpur, Indore and Patna, locals would to find it more uncomplicated to talk over with states like Bihar, Maharastra and Madhya Pradesh.
Gupta also mentioned that the simpler connectivity would inspire investments in the region and that both the Centre and the state govt are operating in combination to connect extra UP cities with flight products and services.
Under the scheme, 11 new airports are being evolved across the state and in next 15 months and new flights will start from Aligarh, Azamgarh, Bareilly, Chitrakoot, Jhansi, Moradabad, Sonbhadra, Allahabad and Shravasti.
Before Kumbh-2019, as many as 13 cities—Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Mumbai, Gorakhpur, Dehradun, Kolkata, Raipur and Pune—can be connected with Allahabad.
“The timing and agenda of flights can be introduced later” mentioned the UP minister, adding that “ We are focusing to enhance air connectivity from Allahabad to all primary cities of the country by 12 months end.”
