B’luru man with rare blood saves pregnant woman

BENGALURU: City-based advertising government Jai Ganesh, 50, used to be in Mysuru for a business assembly on June 15 when he used to be told a woman due for supply wanted B-ve blood straight away.
Within two hours he reached the clinic in Mandya and donated blood to Pooja S, 22, who used to be facing headaches right through supply. A native of Magadi, she delivered a baby lady on Tuesday.

Pooja used to be admitted to Mandya executive clinic on June 15. As she used to be B-ve, docs had told the family to stay one unit of blood ready in case she calls for right through supply.


“We have been anxious when docs said we’ve to stay two units of B-ve blood ready. The clinic had one unit and we needed to get another. I were given a choice from Ganesh soon after the message used to be unfold on WhatsApp teams. Luckily, he used to be in Mysuru for reputable paintings; on his way back to Bengaluru, he stopped at Mandya and donated blood,” said D Shanmugam, husband of Pooja.


Ganesh, who has donated blood 75 times thus far, said the gesture offers him happiness. The cause used to be when his mother affected by blood most cancers wanted O-ve blood.


“She had gone through blood transfusion as soon as in six weeks in 2017. Though I to start with idea it will be difficult to find O-ve donors, with the assistance of WhatsApp teams, we'd get them inside two hours. I too am doing my bit,” said Ganesh.
