BENGALURU: The shipping department has made up our minds to implement its previous proposal to restrict registration of new cars in Bengaluru town limits if there’s no parking facility.
Transport minister DC Thammanna mentioned before taking one of these harsh step, the dept will release an awareness force for a 12 months to steer other folks to make use of public shipping or cross in for carpooling. After a 12 months, the dept will limit vehicle registration.

We need to deal with this factor on priority and the use of public shipping and carpooling are the only answers to this. I search public support on this regard,” he mentioned.
The proposed restrictions come with banning registration of diesel cars and allowing new cars only if homeowners have car parking zone.
The department will quickly introduce 80 electrical buses in Bengaluru. “The Centre has already sanctioned 80 buses and we are searching for 70 more. We’ll also search monetary lend a hand from the Union setting ministry to buy more electrical buses,” he added.
