NEW DELHI: Before you gulp down your favorite logo of beer at a restro bar or a club within the city, make sure to test the expiry date at the bottle because the Delhi executive has found some institutions serving "expired beer" to customers.
The Excise department has found 9 outstanding venues in standard hangout spots like Hauz Khas, New Friends Colony and Connaught Place serving "expired beer" all through wonder inspections between August 19, 2017 and April 13, 2018.

In a written reaction to a query asked by AAP MLA Vishesh Ravi within the Delhi Assembly, the Excise Department said 214 pubs, bars and eating places had been inspected by its Enforcement Branch all through the previous year and of those, 94 restro bars had been found violating excise rules.
According to data equipped to the Assembly, 9 restro bars located in Vasant Vihar, Rajouri Garden, Saket, New Friends Colony, Punjabi Bagh, Laxmi Nagar, Connaught Place and Janakpuri had been found serving "expired beer" to customers all through the inspections.
An excise legitimate said beer bottles of more than a few brands have other written recommendation.
For example, labels of beer bottles of some brands say "best before six months from the date of manufacture", whilst others read "best before twelve months from date of manufacture".
"The department takes action if restro bars and clubs are found serving beer which has expired as per the written advice," he said.
