LONDON: Britain will commemorate on Sunday the London Bridge terror assault that killed 8 people, injured dozens and left many more traumatised and grieving.
Frenchwoman Christine Delcros, 46, used to be at the bridge at the night time of June 3, 2017, when she lost the "love of her life" Xavier Thomas, 45, as they have been taking part in a weekend within the British capital.
Like each and every Saturday night time, the full of life central London neighbourhood used to be filled with people, many collecting in its bars to look at the Champions League final.
The couple have been heading for the Shard, London's tallest skyscraper, to enjoy the view with a cocktail when a speeding pick-up truck careered throughout London Bridge and slammed right into a crowd of people.
"I only remember that surreal moment when I saw a crazy truck zigzagging up the sidewalk trying to hit us," Delcros advised AFP.
"I just had time to say to myself: 'So this is how you die' -- I couldn't even tell Xavier one last time how much I loved him."
She used to be "seriously injured" within the collision whilst her spouse's body used to be later found within the River Thames.

"On the psychological level, the wounds are invisible, but they are the most serious."
"I remain traumatised by the loss of the love of my life, in circumstances beyond my comprehension," she added, describing her spouse as "so caring... with a true sense of humour."
"Living life to the fullest and having no regrets was his motto," she recalled.
"I fight every day to cope by drawing from the depths of this intense love that I carry for Xavier... and for our children, to not add to their suffering," she added.
Delcros will likely be in London on Sunday to take part in anniversary commemorations, which come with a non secular carrier to be held at Southwark Cathedral in honour of the victims and their loved ones.
The rite will include the lights of candles for every of those who died, one for all who have been harmed and the planting of an olive tree, referred to as a "Healing Tree", within the cathedral grounds.
It will likely be planted the use of compost constituted of flowers left on London Bridge after the assault.
Following the carrier there will likely be a procession from the cathedral to London Bridge, sooner than a minute's silence, speeches and the laying of flowers.
