NEW DELHI: Congress president Rahul Gandhi mentioned on Wednesday that BJP MPs take "two steps back" on seeing him in this day and age fearing that he might include them.
BJP leaders had earlier criticised Gandhi for hugging PM Narendra Modi in Parliament final week. Gandhi mentioned he can have a difference of opinion with BJP leaders, however he doesn't want to hate them.
"You can fight someone with all your might, but hate is a choice... And I think that is something that is very important to understand. I may disagree with Mr (LK) Advani, I may have a completely different conception of the country from that of Mr Advani. And I can fight Mr Advani on every single inch, but I don't need to hate him," he mentioned at a e-book release the place the senior BJP chief was once also present.
