BENGALURU: Bangalore University, which is known for delays in pronouncing results, set a document on Monday via pronouncing the results of VII and VIII semester exam of BE (civil engineering) inside of two-and-a-half hours of the assessments getting over.
The University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering (UVCE) is the one engineering institution affiliated to Bangalore University.
Prof C Shivaraju, registrar (evaluation), BU told TOI that they have been able to achieve the feat as they ensured the answerscripts of each subject have been evaluated at the identical day.
"By doing so, we were able to finish evaluating all subjects for which exams were held in the past 10 days. On Monday, we were only left with the task of checking the answerscripts of the day. As many as 139 students took the exams. For the first time in BU's history, results have been announced in such a short time. Otherwise, they are announced after a gap of eight to 15 days," he added.
