Delhi: 100 public services at doorstep by Aug

NEW DELHI Come August, Delhiites gets round 100 public services and products, together with using licence and caste certificates, at their doorstep under a proposed scheme of the Delhi government.

The Delhi Cabinet on Tuesday approved the Department of Administrative Reforms’ proposal to offer the work to a company to execute the venture, deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia instructed reporters.

According to Sisodia, the Cabinet had previous approved doorstep delivery of 40 services and products, but now some other 30 public services and products are also being added.

He stated that some other set of 30 services and products might be added inside of a period of 1 month of the launch.

The government claimed that no citizen of Delhi must stand in queues for the services and products indexed under the scheme.

As per the plan, Mobile Sahayaks (facilitators) might be hired during the agency that might arrange name centres.

Various certificates reminiscent of caste, new water connection, income, using licence, ration card, domicile, marriage registration, replica RC and change of cope with in RC, among others, might be lined under the scheme.


For example, if a person wanted to apply for using licence, she or he must name a delegated name centre and provides the main points.


Thereafter, the agency would assign a Mobile Sahayak, who will consult with the applicant's place of abode and get the required details and paperwork, he stated.


However, the applicant must consult with the MLO place of business as soon as to go through a using check.


In November last 12 months, Sisodia had stated that the Mobile Sahayak would be provided with all vital machines reminiscent of biometric units and a camera, including that for home delivery services and products, the applicant would be charged a nominal price.
