BHUBANESWAR: Admission in to plus two classes in 2001 higher secondary school (junior schools) around the state began on Monday. Huge rush of scholars and parents was witnessed in schools due to the admission.

A complete 3, 41, 927 students were decided on for admission into more than a few streams of Arts, Science, commerce, Sanskrit and vocational education as per the first bring to an end list. As many as four,41,602 students had registered their names on-line for admission of whom four, 09, 974 students have implemented for admission.

Some students who passed from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) board alleged that they were not allowed to take admission due to non-availability of migration certificate.

"Even though we are ready to give undertakings to submit the migration certificates in next few days, the college authorities did not allow to give admission in the plus two course. We have applied in the board and have not been given the migration certificate yet," mentioned S Ok Panda, a mum or dad, who denied admission in BJB Higher Secondary School.

College authorities, alternatively, expressed their helplessness as the federal government has made it obligatory to submit authentic certificate. "There is no discrepancy. As per the government rules we have informed the candidates to bring all original certificates for verifications failing which admission cannot be allowed," mentioned Bishnu Charan Das, foremost of BJB Higher Secondary School.


He mentioned last 12 months they allowed some students to take admission considering their undertakings but a lot of them have not but submitted the original migration certificate.


The first phase admission will proceed until July five. The 2d cut-off list can be declared on July 10 whilst the second one phase admission can be hung on July 11 and 12. The classes will start from July 24.
