Formula One: Hartley unhurt after high speed crash

SILVERSTONE: Brendon Hartley escaped unhurt when he crashed at high speed in Saturday's ultimate follow for the British Grand Prix.

The New Zealander's Toro Rosso automobile suffered a front suspension and steering failure at the finish of Wellington Straight 14 minutes into the only hour session.

The front left wheel of his automobile lifted and skewed vertically because the suspension collapsed and he used to be left without control of the gadget because it spun backwards heavily into the barriers.

The session used to be red-flagged to a forestall.

Hartley replied to a query asking "are you ok?" announcing "yep, suspension failure."


A few minutes later, he climbed out of the car and walked away with a scientific respectable.


The front finish of his automobile used to be wrecked.


The Silverstone circuit is among the quickest on the F1 calendar.
