More cops, drones for kanwar yatra this year

GURUGRAM: The town government are taking steps to ensure that no visitors snarls and other incidents are led to via the motion of kanwariyas during the town from July 25. The visitors police will designate lanes for the motion of the pilgrims and drones may also be used to observe all the yatra.

Kanwariyas are expected to pass the city during the Delhi-Gurugram Expressway. Cops might be deployed at strategic points like Sohna, Farrukhnagar and Pataudi road, during which a large number of those pilgrims are expected to pass.


Gurugram deputy commissioner Vinay Pratap Singh stated, “Dedicated lanes might be marked to regulate the motion of kanwariyas during the yatra. Routes might be identified as in line with protection and visitors concerns and responsibility magistrates and police drive might be deployed at crucial locations.” Kanwariyas will not be allowed in the main carriageway, he stated.


Concessionaire MCEPL (Millennium City Expressway Private Limited) is getting ready for the motion of kanwariyas as well. MCEPL authentic Sai Krishna stated, “We have made up our minds to deploy two cranes. Around 92 marshals might be stationed alongside the parkway from Delhi Cantonment to Kherki Daula toll plaza. These marshals might be given baton lights, torches and other things like plastic ropes, whistles, purple flags and flex forums.”


The motion of kanwariyas might be monitored closely via town police. Hira Singh, ACP visitors, stated: “We will ensure that the yatra goes off smoothly. Cops might be stationed in any respect strategic points.”
