Mumbai rain: Vihar becomes 3rd lake to overflow

MUMBAI: Lake Vihar, which gives water to Mumbai, became the 3rd lake in the ultimate one week that has began overflowing. BMC officers stated that the lake is overflowing since 10.30 am on Monday.


Mumbai town area has been receiving excellent rains because the ultimate one week. Lake Tulsi and Lake Vihar are the 2 catchment area lakes which might be located in Mumbai town limits within the Sanjay Gandhi National Park.


The Tulsi lake began overflowing on July nine and Modak Sagar lake on July 15.


The BMC supplies three,800 million litre water to the town every day, which is brought from the seven catchment area lakes specifically Modak Sagar, Tulsi, Vihar, Tansa, Upper Vaitarna, Middle Vaitarna and Bhatsa.
