NAVI MUMBAI: Former Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation corporator Santosh Shetty, who owns a lodge in Kharghar, has fallen victim to ransomware. The hacker used a proxy pc web protocol (IP) server to hack into the lodge’s pc data on Thursday evening and demanded $400 to unencumber it.

The lodge’s basic manager Ritesh Sinha lodged a grievance at Kharghar police station the next day.
