BATHINDA: Hours after a girl in Punjab lost her husband and two daughters after their space roof collapsed due to heavy rain, she gave beginning to twin sons on Wednesday.
The woman had survived the mishap as she had walked out of the room moments before the collapse. On Tuesday, the family — Amritpal Singh (35), his nine-month pregnant wife Tejinderpal Kaur and their daughters Manseerat (6) and Agmanjot (four) — was snoozing at the roof of their space in Muktsar district.
Around 11pm, it all started raining and so they got here downstairs to sleep within the room. Close to middle of the night, Tejinderpal stepped out to drink water when the roof caved in, burying the three.
The trio was declared introduced dead at a health center.
“The space roof was laid with rusted girders. It was additionally heavily loaded, all of which caved in all through the rains,” said a neighbour.
After the loss of life of her husband and daughters, Tejinderpal went into labour and delivered twin sons at a private health center round 9am on Wednesday.
