LONDON: Britain faces "more division and more uncertainty" if a draft Brexit deal falls through, Prime Minister Theresa May stated on Friday as she sought to win over sceptical Britons forward of an EU summit this weekend. In a call-in display on BBC radio, May also refused to mention whether or not she would surrender if the British parliament ultimately voted down the divorce settlement and outline on future ties.

"This isn't about me... I am focused on ensuring we get this deal," she stated, including that she can be touring Britain to explain the settlement "to people up and down the country".

"If this deal does not go through we are back at square one. What we end up with is more division and more uncertainty," she stated.

May, who voted to stick in the European Union in the 2016 referendum, also dismissed requires a second vote with an method to stay Britain in the EU, however then refused to mention whether her deal used to be preferable to final in the bloc.

Instead, she stated Britain may just construct a "better future" for itself outdoor the European Union.
