Eight-year-old sodomised at hospital in Nabha

PATIALA: Kotwali Nabha police have booked a 23-year-old resident of Nabha for sodomising an eight-year-old at a hospital in Nabha. The complaint in this regard was once lodged by way of the family members of the survivor.

The accused has been booked below Section 377 (unnatural offences) of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 3 (punishment for sexual assault) and four (punishment for penetrative sexual assault) of the Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences (Pocso) Act.

“The accused was once recognized and arrested after the testimony of the survivor kid. The accused can be introduced earlier than a court docket on Wednesday and then he can have to undergo a medical examination,” stated station space officer of Kotwali Nabha police station.
