LUCKNOW: The body of a minor lady, who had long gone missing on Friday, used to be recovered from Kukrail embankment under Mahanagar police station right here on Sunday.
The recovery of stripling lady’s body led to a clash between the police and kin of the victim. The kinfolk accused police of laxity in tracing the kid.
The family members and the neighbours staged a sit-in on the primary Faizabad street with the corpse for over 20 mins, after which the police cane-charged them.
Meanwhile, the law enforcement officials have arrested a 14-year-old boy on the fees of killing the lady.
SSP Lucknow Kalanidhi Naithani said that the Mahanagar police had already detained a teen who confessed to killing the lady all through interrogation. “The victim and the assailant happen to be ragpickers and are living in the similar house of Ambedkarpur close to Faizabad street in Mahanagar,” he added.
On the fateful day of December 28, the victim had hit the assailant with a stick while taking part in after which the teenager got enraged and hit her onerous. The lady may not resist it and died. The victim later bundled her in a sack and dunped her body in Kukrail embankment.
The family approached the Mahanagar police after they began searching for her and failed.
