Surat: In a love story that went awry, a 23-year-old lady has lodged a grievance of rape in opposition to her former pal in Varachha police station on Tuesday. Incidentally, the woman and her pal Mayank Soni, had been booked in Adajan police station for allegedly dishonest a woman of Rs 15 lakh.
The lady alleged that Soni, 26, a jeweller, had raped in Singapore, Thailand and at her space after promising to marry her. He also resued to return the cash that she had lent him. The complainant is a former worker of a chartered accountancy firm.
Police investigation up to now printed that Soni and the woman came involved with each other as they lived in the same locality. They knew each other for the remaining eight years and developed close dating 5 years in the past. Meanwhile, the woman used to be requested to visit Singapore through her place of work in 2017 for some work. She requested Soni to accompany her. Similarly, they even went to Bangkok after few months. In her grievance, the woman alleged that Soni compelled her into bodily dating at those puts.
However, their dating started getting sour when Adajan police booked her and Soni for dishonest a lady through promising to supply her an condo.
“Following the police grievance, both developed variations over cash and continuation of dating. We will sign in observation of witnesses and arrest the accused,” stated police.
