Stray dog strikes terror, bites five in Sector 41

CHANDIGARH: A stray dog bit five other people in Sector 41 on Sunday in an attack that lasted for a few hours and led to panic within the locality.


The dog pounced upon two individuals near the neighborhood centre round 2.30pm, and focused the 3 others at different places.


Madan Lal, a daily salary labourer and a resident of Faida village, used to be bit three times on his again, thigh and arm. “My husband had long gone for some work in Sector 41. When he reached near the neighborhood centre, a stray dog bit him. He attempted to flee but the dog stored on attacking him. The doctor has already given him six injections and he may need extra. We are very poor and my husband is the only bread earner,” stated Jyoti, the spouse of Madan Lal, who has two children — a seven-year-old boy and a four-year-old daughter.
