KUMBAKONAM: A 19-year-old engineering school scholar, who was allegedly kidnapped for a ransom of Rs 5 lakh, was discovered lifeless close to Thirubhuvanam close to right here on Saturday, police stated. Munthazir, a 2d yr scholar of a private school, had advised his mother that he was going to seek advice from his sister, the police stated.
A few hours later, the alleged kidnapper known as the sufferer's mother and advised her that her son have been abducted and demanded Rs 5 lakh to unencumber him, the police added.
Muthazir's mother lodged a complaint following which police attempted to touch the boy, but discovered his telephone switched off.
This morning, the scholar was discovered lifeless together with his throat slit close to a channel in within reach Thirubhuvanam.
