46 Vadodara Central Jail inmates to appear in board exams this year

Vadodara: With the desire to acquire a point enabling them to get a job after their liberate from the jail, as many as 46 inmates of the Vadodara central jail are showing on this year’s board assessments, atmosphere a report of sorts in numbers, stated jail authorities.

Of the 46 inmates to seem in the Gujarat board examinations for HSC and SSC, 28 are SSC examinees, while 18 will sit for HSC assessments. Last year, the whole selection of applicants from Vadodara central jail and other sub-jails was once 44 and 20 in 2017. The examinations can be conducted at the jail premises itself, stated officials, including that the selection of applicants will building up as inmates from Godhra, Nadiad, Rajpipla and Bharuch sub-jails may even come to Vadodara to write their examination.


Jail officials imagine that the incentive session held for inmates this year has inspired them to take in the assessments to pursue higher research. Conducted through the jail officials, together with the jail superintendent and senior jailer, the prisoners had been instructed about some great benefits of higher research and that finding out at any age is not a taboo.


Most of the inmates showing in the SSC assessments, of whom the selection of undertrials is prime, say they plan to use for certificates and degree courses. Many other inmates who've finished schooling, are availing courses underneath Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) and Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University,” stated welfare officer Mahesh Rathod.
