Delhi: 20-year-old shot dead in Jahangirpuri

NEW DELHI: A 20-year-old guy has been shot lifeless by unidentified men in northwest Delhi's Jahangirpuri house, police stated on Friday.

Kailash, the deceased, hailed from Uttar Pradesh and was once a resident of Bhalswa here, they added.

"At 10.30pm on Thursday, unidentified men opened fire at Kailash. He was rushed to Babu Jagjivan Ram Memorial Hospital where he was declared brought dead by the doctors. Kailash had sustained serious head wounds," police stated.

A case was once registered and the topic is being probed, deputy commissioner of police (northwest) Vijayanta Arya stated.


The police suspect the function of native youths within the incident and have begun wondering accordingly, she stated.


CCTV footages within the within reach areas are being tested to spot the accused and identify series of events, Arya stated.


Police are probing all angles together with that of personal enmity, on the other hand robbery bid has been ruled out, the officer stated.


Further investigation is underway and efforts are on to nab the accused, police stated.
