SURAT: A 50-year-old broker of diamond machines within the town was overwhelmed up and poisoned to death at Valiya in Bharuch district on Thursday when he went there to gather his pending brokerage fee totalling round Rs15 lakh from a businessman.
Deceased Kanu Jeram Radadiya’s son Chintan Radadiya, a resident of Sarthana, registered a grievance towards Upin Dodiya at Valiya police station. One accused was arrested and produced in an area court which remanded him in custody for 3 days while a manhunt has been launched through police for any other four.
Radadiya and Dodiya had an argument at the latter’s house at Valiya. Radadiya was overwhelmed up through Dodiya and four other men and made to drink poison. When Dodiya and his friends brought him out of the house, Radadiya controlled to escape from their clutches but collapsed on highway. He was rushed to a well being centre and from there to a clinic in Ankleshwar and subsequently to Ayushi ICU & Multispeciality Hospital in town the place he died.
MN Ninama, police inspector of Valiya police station, mentioned, “Based on what the sufferer instructed police prior to he fell unconscious and his son’s statement, we registered the grievance and arrested primary accused Upin Dodiya. He has been remanded in police custody for 3 days through a court. We are in search of four persons who helped the principle accused in committing the crime.”
Police mentioned Radadiya was overwhelmed up with sticks and an iron pestle. The sufferer was forced to drink poison to make his murder appear to be a case of suicide. Radadiya was claiming fee of Rs15 lakh from Dodiya for serving to him sell a big plot of land at Netrang in Bharuch 15 years in the past.
