Surat: Three persons were arrested for raping a 35-year-old married girl from Navapur, Maharashtra in a shifting automobile right here on Friday. Rahul alias Wasim Karim Shaikh, Babu alias Aftab Shaikh and Naushad Saiyed had assumed Hindu identities to befriend the girl, a mom of a 14-year-old lady, police said.
Mahidharpura police said the accused ran a parking contract near Limbayat in the city. The girl in her complaint registered on Wednesday mentioned that she had met Wasim in a wedding in May 2018 and that he had offered himself as Rahul then. She has alleged in her police complaint that Babu alias Aftab and Wasim had earlier raped her in a hostel and she or he used to be threatened of dire consequences if she told someone in regards to the incident. Naushad too had raped her sooner than, she said.
A police officer said, “The girl and the accused had been subjected to clinical exam. The accused can be produced in a court on Saturday. We will request the court to remand the three accused in police custody.”
